1. post your original work 2. give constructive criticism 3. provide haiku master's piece.
FAQ: why did we even set up this site when 10 haiku communities already exist out there?
We cannot stand so-called "American haiku". Haiku isn't just some 17 forced syllables thrown together. For novices, here's a brief definition:
1)HAIKU - relies on brevity and simplicity to convey its message. It follows a format of three lines of five, seven, and five syllables, and is usually about the NATURE."
2)SENRYU - relies on brevity and simplicity to convey its message. It follows a format of three lines of five, seven, and five syllables, and is usually about the HUMAN EMOTION or HUMAN CONDITION."
To be accepted, do either option 1,2, or 3:
OPTION 1) post either ONE haiku OR ONE senryu. Your work will be judged on its quality.
OPTION 2) find ONE good haiku AND ONE good senryu(do google search). It doesn't necessarily have to be written by you. Remember to give credit to the author.
OPTION 3) post any form of artwork(it can be created by you, your friend, or a famous artist)
Once you fulfill the requirement, we'll notify you upon your acceptance or rejection.
